Angel Castellanos

I have been teaching elementary school students since I was 17 years old from a program that was sponsored by my high school(Venice High) and by my home state California. I mainly teach basic mathematics, geometry and writing. I have attended Trade Technical College in California for Electronics engineering. Then, I completed my education in NY. I have been helping students at P.S. 145 on and off for years, learning about how young minds solve problems.

I am a father of 2 daughters. I do my best to prepare my lessons to be practical and progressing towards an educational goal for the students. I like to break down concepts of mathematics into fun and digestible material for students. Teaching them that learning does not need to be complicated.

I consider teaching a way of life because students must learn to make mistakes in order to learn. Encouraging the students to make attempts. While guiding them in the way that they learn best, through their personality and way of action. Learning is life.
