Algebra 1 course is oriented towards learning the basics of the main topics of Algebra, like Sets of Numbers and Properties of Numbers; Expressions, Equations, Inequalities, and Functions, including Linear, Quadratic, Absolute Value, Exponential, and Logarithmic ones.
One of the course’s priorities is to solve multi-step problems involving Rate and Ratio, Percentage, and Motion, focusing on those that can be reduced to an equation or system of equations.
We include Olympiad-level problems in the program, as well as those used in the best practices of math curricula worldwide.
We will use the Introduction to Algebra and Competition Math books of the Art of Problem Solving team as reference books.
